Here’s a side-by-side comparison of the RRL 10.5oz officer’s field pant and the J Crew Wallace & Barnes 11.5oz selvedge chino. RRL notes that its chinos are piece dyed. J Crew notes its chinos are sulphur dyed Japanese fabric. Both are manufactured in China.
